Dalaman & Sarıgerme

Sarıgerme was a one-course destination until August 2026, when the Dalaman Golf Club opened beside the Hilton and gave the Turkish Aegean its second eighteen. Both courses sit within twenty minutes of Dalaman airport, which is the shortest transfer to championship golf anywhere in Turkey.

The new course is the reason to come now. Andrew Craven routed it through three kinds of ground in a single round: wind-shaped sand dunes, coastal wetland with fifteen lakes, and the foothills behind. It measures 6,152 metres off the white tees, carries fifty-five bunkers, and is laid on salt-tolerant grass fed from its own lakes. The 15th is the hole people will talk about — a 517-metre par five played from a tee twenty-five metres above a fairway with a protected nature reserve down one side and open water down the other.

Robinson Golf Club Nobilis, the original, is a different proposition entirely: a Dave Thomas parkland from 1998, tree-lined, gently rolling, genuinely walkable, with the river alongside for part of the round. Play the two in one week and you have covered more variety of ground than four rounds in Belek will give you.

This is also the Turkish coast that works when not everyone in the party plays. Dalyan's river and rock tombs, the marinas at Göcek and the Fethiye beaches are all inside an hour, and the hotels sit on a real beach rather than behind a gate. The honest limit is arithmetic: two courses is two courses. A five-round week means repeating, so this is a two- or three-round destination combined with something else, or a quieter alternative for a group that has done Belek several times.

March to May and September to November are the months, at 20–26 °C. The Aegean runs a degree or two cooler than Belek through the summer and the sea breeze helps, though it does not fix July and August. Winter is mild by northern European standards but wetter than the Antalya coast — for a December round, go east.
